Miscellaneous Fun Pic Dump

Still backposting for fall of 2016

Always have to have a post for just some fun pics that don't fit anywhere else :)

The kids made some lego flowers as a centerpiece...

Later, when they decided to set the table and cook dinner, there was one more lego flower...

Iris transforms our bathroom floor into her own personal foot spa...

Clyde learning to tie a necktie.  This inspired him to wear neckties over t-shirts for a spell :D.

Lucy trying on one of her Nena's old New Year's dresses....same body type much???

 Exploring the shops downtown...

spinning in prairie dresses while waiting for siblings to get out of class...

Clyde feeding Ben popcorn :)

My favorite bumper sticker from the election period...

The kids with a snoralax!

She just has such gorgeous and amazing amounts of hair.  I beg to do it for fun sometimes.

My Trooper

Still backposting for fall of 2016.

The kids and I all have syncope, and all have asthma, but Lucy, in addition to having her severe food allergies, definitely struggles with those things the most.  Whether it's so mild, she just needs someone to prop her up while she has trouble balancing and thinking, has to lie around all day with cold packs, or has to go to the hospital for a breathing treatment or check-up after an epi-pen, she has been an amazing trooper with an amazing attitude.

Some of what Lu's life looks like lately...

My sweet precious girl.  All these were from last school year and summer, really hoping this year has less of these moments.

Ferret Pics

Last fall.

We love our fuzzies, so I have to post pics of them occasionally, there's just so many cute ones!

On one of Iris's shopping days, Nena bought her these two little beds (they're supposed to be for stuffed animals), and Iris immediately put them to good use.

They often get the run of mine and Stephen's room.  This is Ash, he is most definitely our happiest and hoppiest ferret.

Our little old lady, Laurel, on Clyde's shoulder...

Normally if someone is riding on his shoulder, it's his own Lupine...

and soot, peeking out of the covers...

My Eating Buddy

I'm still back posting for last fall.

When I feel like eating something different, I always know who to ask.  Clyde is always up for an outing and most definitely up for food.  And if it's something he's never tried, all the better!

These particular occasions were downtown.  We went for Thai Smile and Tupelo Honey (where we were given free glasses!).

Clyde ordered some sort of seafood madness (it was everything you can think of) mixed together in coconut curry and served in a coconut.  Followed by dessert! (fried bananas I think)

At Tupelo Honey, the free appetizer is hot biscuits and fresh blueberry compote.  Yum!!  Our actual entrees were delicious also! :)

North Carolina Cousins Visit

We have many awesome NC relatives!  (all on Stephen's side)

I'm backposting from last fall, it's literally been a year since I kept up with the blog. Last year (2016) in July, the younger kids of Joey and Tammy came to spend a week with us.  Stephen had to work, but the rest of us treated it like a vacation!!  They're all awesome, so it was an incredible time!!

We took long walks at the parks, the walking bridge, and downtown several evenings.

Played several games, including PicWits and that weird Jelly Bean game where you eat a certain color and it might be pear or peach, or something yummy.... or it might be dogfood, vomit, or something else equally disgusting :)  I think Dawson and Courtney lasted the longest...??

Stupidly, I decided to hike in the heat with this delightful crew.  They did great, but I did not.  Devin and my mom had to hike me out the last 20 yards or so.  But the water was fun!

Clyde's on Main :D

Indoor Trampoline Park!  This was a huge hit!

Lake Winnepasauka!!

Wish we could have ALL THE MANY North Carolina kin out all at once!!!  But in lieu of that, this was a blast!!!

Anniversary 2016!! Because I'm a Year Behind on My Blog

We always celebrate our anniversary a month early, because July is just easier for my sister to host what everyone calls "Camp Sherry."  This is when Sherry and David keep the kids for 4 nights.

I, as you can see from the title of this blog, am WAAAAY behind on blogging, a year behind.  I thought about giving up, but I'm hoping I'll start feeling more up to doing it.  And hopefully I'm getting more used to my new, and by new I mean 1-year-old, picture software.  (Boo!  I miss Picasa so badly!)

Moving along...

I can't remember what else we did with our time, since it was a year ago... but we ate Hibachi

And then ate at a ramen house downtown!  That was pretty novel and fun!

And so we celebrated 16 years together!  He's been precious, and loves unconditionally!!
